Santa's Cuisine- Complete!! 12/21/09

Post by MaggieM1750 »

Ok, finally figured out how to add photos- and took the time to snap a few photos

This is what I am currently working on-- almost finished with the color, then onto the backstitching to add the details.

He's gorgeous MaggieM and gosh hasn't he got a great feast on the table too. I agree with Meerkat, the back stitching will really add that finishing touch to it.

Oooh, he's almost done! And now I want Christmas dinner    Don't think it helps that I went shopping for Christmas pudding ingredients at the weekend and they're all sitting at home waiting for stir up Sunday.

Great work and look forward to seeing the finished piece.

Santa cooks and is great with kids? If he cleans I think we've found the perfect husband. That Mrs. Claus is one lucky lady!
Great job with Santa. He's looking wonderful!

Thanks everyone.
As soon as I am done with it, the chart is up for grabs to anyone that wants it. It has the finish instructions to be matted and framed, or to be turned into a stocking. There are others in this collection I would like to get my hands on.. I know of one where Santa is fishing, and another where he is relaxing on the beach. The set is from a series of paintings by Tom Browning turned into stitch patterns. The copyright on this chart is 1999 so its been hard to get my hands on the coordinating designs. I picked up this kit at an estate sale for $2! I have seen someone on here doing the fishing stocking in reverse. And I have emailed the company in hopes of getting the other charts. Off to find that WIP!

It's really nice to see a chrismas design that is a bit different. Really love this and I think your stitching is wonderful. Keep it up!

Oh my gosh, I'm done, I'm done, I'm DONE!!
I didn't think I would get it done before Christmas this year.. November sort of got away from me and I didn't touch him for at least 2 weeks.
I finished the last little bits of his hair today at lunch.

All he needs now is a little wash and iron and he's ready for the framer (I might send him out at the begining of the year)

I will post photos when I get home tonight
