Happily Ever After

Post by Krissy »

I have put aside all of my other projects to work on a wedding project for my BIL and his soon to be bride. I got the pattern as soon as I could after I heard about it a month ago and decided I didn't want to chance it not being done by then and started it a couple of days after I recieved the pattern in the mail. They get married on May 1st and I have gotten quite a bit done on it since I started it.

Here's what it will look like
Image

Here is where I am at with it. The picture isn't great since my good camera broke and I haven't replaced it. I have to save up about $300 to add to what I have to buy the EOS that I want.

Thanks!! I'm really enjoying the colors on this one. There were some colors that I was cringing at when I got them. I didn't think they would go with the other colors that well but they are blended with other colors and go with everything really well.

Thanks!!! I am sure I'll have it done by February. My main worry is the frame. The guy I had that said he could make me custom frames that are unfinished is military and has been restationed in New York recently, he said that once he gets there he'd make it for me and ship it to me so that may not be a problem. Not only that but IF I did paint it I'm not sure how I would paint it. My first instinct would be a pink (to match one of the pinks in the project) and silver metallic (there is silver metallic thread used in the small "flowers" along the top and bottom of the heart). But I don't want to make it too girly because it is a present for BOTH of them and not just her. I may go to my local craft stores and see what I can find as far as stencils and scratch on decals and go from there. I may use an orange that is in the flowers and maybe the silver metallic. I may just get some kind of wood color finish and go with that.

Orange sounds like a good colour for both of them, and the silver would make it extra festive! It's a lovely design, and you've made such a great start already!

Thanks!! I planned on working on it today but didn't get much done. I've been doing training for Avon, hoping it will be the extra income my family and I need.
