Cats! Cat #3 finished, pics updated 3/29/12

Post by carolynbb »

I have officially lost my mind.

In addition to the wedding photo WIP, I've decided to start another project -- doing 4x6 cross stitches for each of our four cats.

We have a photo frame on the wall now, with these four photos in it; one by one, I'll be replacing a photo with a completed cross stitch.

Each one is approximately 5000 stitches, which isn't terrible, except that they're pretty much all confetti again. The downside of working from photos!

I swear, my next project will be nothing but big blocks of bright reds and blues, because I'm already sick of confetti browns. ;)

I'll be starting with the top photo above, since he's our sick little guy :( and I think it would mean a lot to my husband.

What a great project and such lovely clear photos to work from.

Just love the 3rd kitty - she is so like my dear Muffy who went to sleep when she was 16, her son Silver (a huge silver grey)when he was almost 19.

Enjoy the stitching in spite of the "confetti stitching" which I know gets sooooooo frustrating at times.

Here's my first "update" -- all of the bobbins nice and organized.

Would you believe all of these colors are JUST for that first photo above? What was I thinking? :D

That's all for this project for tonight; going to do some stitching on the wedding photo WIP now.

I use Stitchtastic software. They make pretty good patterns -- I'm happy with the work I've done so far from them. :D

Oh this is going to be great, I'm going to really enjoy watching these come to life.
Confetti is annoying, but it makes all the difference doesn't it. :)
