Something special for Grandma

Post by stellagirl »

My grandmother is moving into a skilled nursing facility and I want to stitch something special for her. I was thinking that a door hanging would be nice but I don't have anything appropriate and the only charts I can find in nearby stores are for Disney characters. Can anyone recommend a sampler or "welcome" chart that could work? Thanks in advance!

I just had a little look through the site I usually order from and found a few lovely kits and charts. If you go to http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cat2.html" target="_blank" target="_blank you finds lots, if you search under "bell pulls" or "welcome" etc.

These caught my eye especially! birds and bears :D

I'm not looking for any new patterns. But birds sucked me in to look. How absolutely gorgeous. I am off the hook for ordering as I no longer do stamped work, strictly Aida. If that were a counted chart I would have to have it.

There are some beautiful sampler charts for free at Passione Ricamo, including a lovely "Bienvenuti" one: http://www.passionericamo.eu/indexfreebie.htm" target="_blank

Would one of those suit?
