Need ideas for retirement card

Post by agi »

Please, help me.
A very good friend of mine is retiring from school. I almost forgot about the party, so I have only a short time to make him a card.

He was the teacher (or perhaps a trainer is a better word) who taught our students the basic technical skills: how to use files, drills, how to solder and so on.
He is very active, likes travelling, spends a lot of time with his grandchildren.

Any ideas what to stitch on his retirement card? Thank you.
Agi

I just had a look at some retirement patterns i have and here are some ideas:

Stitch "" Congratulations on your retirement""

or just "" on your retirement""

and use a motif that si relevant to their occupation because i personally think that this makes it more personalised to them. So, at the school, where they are ateacher or cleaner or lunch lady? whatever they did, find a mini motif from something else that is relevant, centre that and then put your stitching at the top and bottom if you do "" congratulations on your retirement"" or if you do "" on your retirement"" then put it at the top.

remeber the centre when you do the card is inclusive of the caption, so plan it first.
Current WIP's

Maybe, as he's keen on travel, you could stitch a simple aeroplane and a message along the lines of "jetting off on your retirement"?
