Re: Has anyone else been tempted?
@Ashley: I'm not generally a fan of Jasmine Becket-Griffith's fairies, but I really like the ones you've chosen. I hadn't seen them before and am looking forward to the SALs! :D
Thanks. I have a thing for fairies and dragons. The QS one I am going to do on 32 cnt Amderstam Blue, without the ...

Re: Best Way to Stitch HAED Patterns
That is so cool!! The cross country stitching!! I just love it. Thank you so much for showing me. I love doing my regular cross stitch that way, and I am so glad that I can do my HAED's that way. It is so much easier.
Thank you all again for showing me.

Re: How Do You Soften ...............
Alright !! So stiff it is. :D I will not worry about making the fabric "soft" before stitching on it. I have never worked with Hardanger before, and thought you had to soften it up before you could work on it. Glad to know that I do not have to do that.
Thank you so much everyone :applesauce:

Re: How Do You Soften ...............
Just wash it.
Both will soften just by handling but if you wand it softer in the beginning, wash it to take out the sizing.
Make sure it is washable if you have hand dyed fabric. Most can be washed, but it's always best to make sure it's ok.
Alright!! Thanks alot for the info. I will try it. I ...

Re: what do you do whilst you stitch ???
I like my
while stitching, and I listen to the Skyrim Game Soundtrack while I stitch. That or nothing. If I watch TV while stitching, then I am inviting
into the pattern. That I do not need. In the afternoons, I drink my cold ice
and stitch.

Re: Have you ever ordered from
I have never purchased anything from them, but do not order from Stitch "N More. I ordered 2 HEAD designs 1/27/13 and the order sat there for a week before I recieved an email this morning saying that they canceled the order because they ran out of the 2 patterns that I had ordered. Yet they still ...

Re: Best Way to Stitch HAED Patterns
That would be the same size as over 1 on 16 ct and I don't think it would look significantly, if at all different from a 25 or 22ct fabric done over 1. I have seen really beautiful patterns stitched over 14 and 16ct aida fabric. I'm doing one 2 over 1 on 18ct afghan cloth which is a pretty loosely ...

Re: Best Way to Stitch HAED Patterns
Kind of a silly/stupid question, but I have to ask.
If you are working on an HAED, that is a mini, what is the difference in the finished picture if you did it on 32 cnt, over 2, instead of the 25 cnt lugana or the 22 cnt hardanger over 1?? I do not mean the size, but the look of the picture??
I ...

Re: is it just me........
Like everyone said. Change is good. During the day from 5am on to about 6pm I cross stitch on whatever piece I happen to be working on. In the evenings, after supper, I knit making sweaters for nothing beats a home made wool sweater here in the cold winters of Montana. I knit until bedtime. In the ...

Re: is it just me........
I have this all the time. I start on a picture, get tired of the "colors" and go to another. I usually have 3/4 different ones going at one time or another. They are usually different colors. Adia, who I pulled out of the closet this morning, has yellows in it, and is replacing The Lady of the Snow ...
