Hi and welcome. I also get hugely distracted when looking at stash. I can waste hours looking at beautifully coloured threads and dazzling patterns

Carolanne, I can't even do french knots! Although I have been cross stitching for over 20 years, I have never branched out from the basics. I enjoy doing large peices but have stayed away from anything that deviates from normal cross stitches and fractionals etc.

I think it's time I learnt some ...

I have completed a couple of large Lanarte designs in the last couple of years and I have found that I love the fact that they don't have any backstitch. So now I have been looking into more designers that don't use backstitch.
