Re: Golden kite patterns/kits
I have a GK on the go at the moment although I have not picked it up in ages. I also have several HAED wip's. I can tell you that the GK patterns are expensive but the detail is stunning. The blending of colors puts more depth into the pictures in my opinion. I recently purchased a Scarlet Quince ...

Re: Light/Magnification Help Wanted
I bought a pair of magnifiers that clip onto my glasses. I also have an ott light and with both of these I am able to stitch on 25 and up count. I am ok without magnifiers on 22/18 count but the higher counts are a little harder. I found my magnifiers at Hobby Lobby, they weren't expensive and do a ...

Re: Mystic Stitch
I am doing a MS for a girl at work. Like some others have said it does look blocky now. I am hoping to get more done and hold it at a distance to see if the colors blend more. I haven't gotten very far but did work on it last night and to me it still looks blocky. I have also done Golden kite and ...

Re: HAED and Kreinik
I wanted to add that I don't like working with Krenik so I substituted Rainbow galleries Petite treasure braid for the Krenik it works really well, my only suggestion on using this is to only use 1 strand and use short lengths so it's easier to work with.

Re: Golden kite
I wanted to let you guys know that GK has patterns only for sale so the price that was 509 is for the entire kit. I haven't gone to the GK site but I imagine that the price for the pattern only is around 78-90 us dollars. Also if you just get the kit you can used whatever fabric you want and thus ...

Re: Golden kite
i am working on a GK now. If you research the WIP's it's Arab tent. I have not worked on it for some time but I will get it done someday. I also have many HAED's in the works. I find both are about the same to work on the only difference in the GK is that is does have blended threads. Other than ...

Re: PayPal question
If you have an existitng account linked to your bank account you should be able to just transfer to your account. I bought Eternal Promise some time ago and want to start it really badly but I have so many other WIP's that it's going to have to wait until I get some others done. I will be watching your progress on that

Re: To Keep a large Project tight What to do
I am working on several projects and I use a hoop about 6 inch diameter. I have tried q snaps but find that this little hoop works just fine it keeps my fabric taught and I don't have to keep readjusting it as I stitch. I have to move it around but I always take my fabric out of the hoop when I am ...

Re: Michaels and framing...
I have never used Michael's. I have used Joann's and Hobby Lobby and both times I was very pleased with what they did. We used to have a place called framers workshop where you could do your own or have them do the framing for you and I had several pieces done there that were absolutely beautiful ...

I am also the victim of my CC having fraudulent charges. I purchased a pattern in Feb and I got a call from my bank on weds of last week asking about some purchases. Well you guessed it I didn't make those purchases, and the only thing I had used this card for was to purchase a chart. There are ...
