Re: HAED sale. 30% off
I purchased directly from HAED Monday night and my cc was hacked the next morning. I wondered if it had been from that purchase. Thankfully my cc company caught it quickly but it will keep me from purchasing directly from them for a while. Thankfully I have two charts waiting to be done! That should ...

Re: My first HAED - A Long Winter's Nap -SAL
Thanks for following along, everyone, and for the encouragement. I am very happy with the way it is coming along. I can't believe in only a few weeks it will have been a whole year since I started this project.

Re: To HAED or not to HAED
I agree with Vega. DO IT!!!!! I am about halfway through my first HEAD. Some pages can be long and tedious but so worth it. I honestly don't know that I will do any other type of design. The detail and lack of back stitching is amazing. I, too, had to try a few different fabrics, thread counts and ...

This looks great! I may have to look into the software you used to make this. I would love to turn a photo of my kids into a cross stitch. Do you recommend the Life Stitch software you use?

Hi, everyone! Thanks for following along!
I do love my setup! It took me years to get it just right but now I don't think I could stitch without it. I am still looking for that "perfect" light because my old eyes are just getting older...I have found a daylight lamp that I really like now just ...

Re: My first HAED - A Long Winter's Nap -SAL
I've finished pages 9 and 10. I love the detail! I'm still not happy with all of the confetti stitches and I've tried a few different methods and my final thought is that I'm just going to have a lumpy backside. It is what it is ladies....

Hi, everyone! It's been a while since I've updated but I have made some great progress! It's amazing to me that I just don't see the detail of this project until I take a picture and look at it on the computer. It is coming along nicely! In 35 days I have managed 110 hours of stitching.

Re: My first HAED - A Long Winter's Nap -SAL
As I suspected page 5 went pretty quickly since so much of it was black and I was just able to load the needles up and stitch away! It did get a little boring though so I'm glad to move on. Page 5 was 11 days, 4836 stitches, 31 hours and 40 minutes.

Re: My first HAED - A Long Winter's Nap -SAL
Wow! I just realized that I stitched page 4 in 1 1/2 weeks. That was 44 hours of stitching in that time. Egads, I really need to get a life!! I did get a couple of long, wonderful uninterupted days of stitching in that time. :D Nuttystar, I keep a pen and paper next to my stitching and write ...

Re: My first HAED - A Long Winter's Nap -SAL
Holy confetti stitch, Batman!!! With the holidays and all of the confetti stitches on this page it seems like it took forever for me to complete page 3. It actually took me 4 1/2 weeks and a total of 47 hours and 35 minutes.

Here's the completion of page two. Apparently I don't have much of a life because I managed to spend 41 1/2 hours in the last two weeks stitching!

I'm looking forward to following along. TW certainly does a challenging design but I like your idea of how you sort your blended threads. I am old fashioned and still do everything with one needle but tonight I think I'm going to set up my HAED project more like you and some of the other ladies do ...

Oh my goodness, you are taking this much better than I would have! Good for you for just going with the flow! :applesauce: I think that may be another reason to love my stand. It keeps my stitching nice and safe! But then again, stitching is stitching and while I do love finishing a project it ...

Re: Sara's Train of Dreams (End of Week 2) (new Pic on Page 3)
I love this design! I think these HAEDs could become very addictive!
I totally agree with you on how exciting it is to stitch them and see the design come out instead of having to wait to go back and do all of the backstitching. As silly as it sounds I can't wait to see my project the next morning ...
