Re: Wanted: 14ct Colonial Blue Aida Cloth from Zweigart

I couldn't wait, so I tried google. I love google.

Typed in my fabric and it came up with http://www.Stitchers-Paradise.com" target="_blank with my colonial aida cloth.

Ordered it and all my threads there. I'll let you know if I have any problems.

There's something about ordering this stuff and ...

How Long Should I Cut My Floss?

Finally getting around to starting this project after almost a year break. The DMC floss is very long, so I guess I have to cut it. How long should I cut it? Kits are always pre-cut, so this is new to me.

Got My Supplies!

I got my supplies from Michael's!

I picked up a DMC travel bag, along with thread holders, DMC stickers, fabric, the works! I am just missing a few colours.

I'll take a before and after picture, as soon as I vacuum a spot on the floor where I can dump it all.

Take Care!

Re: Daycare Introduction

No, I am not a riders fan. I'm afraid I don't have cable. I tend to watch movies, if I watch anything.

My three main hobbies are: my online game, mabinogi (nobody has ever heard of it, even other gamers); cross stitching; and reading fantasy/romance books.

Re: Daycare Introduction

I have only done counted cross stitch. I work on my craft about an hour every 2 days. I start with the lightest colour first, then work my way towards the darkest colour. Which is why my hardest crafts involve doves or snowmen :D

I dread french knots. I have to relearn how to do them every time.

Re: My First Non-Kit Cross Stitch - Help!

Thank you for the quick replies. I was all ready to buy two aida clothes and try stitching with them taped together :D

My chart is one I bought off eBay. It's out of a magazine and nicely laminated. I am just in the process of requesting the font used to personalize it, as they forgot to include ...

My First Non-Kit Cross Stitch - Help!

I am doing a lovely cross stitch of my son's baptism. I ordered the pattern in the mail. I have only done kits before, which I get professionally framed when I am done. I have a couple questions:

What is "2 fabric threads"? The pattern says it was stitched over 2 fabric threads on an 18" x 15 ...
