LOL! No problem, Mags, specially if it means we get to see your WIP  I'm amazed at all the wonderful advice everyone added since I checked yesterday. I'm going to save this lot to my computer.

Thanks again.

Wow--more welcome posts! Thanks, everyone. My most recent English home was in Hertfordshire, within commuting distance of London. Before that I moved around all over England and grew up more in Ireland (Cork) than England, so I'm a bit of a hybrid. Hubby and I got the wander-bug and decided to make ...

I will most likely do as you do for the stitching too—use up one color within a block (and beyond) and go back and fill in the blanks after that. That design looks fantastic (and hard). Can’t wait to see the finished ...

Thanks so much.

Thank you all for the welcome. I feel at home already! I just posted my question on the Tips 'N' Tricks forum.

Happy stitching.

How to deal with multi-shaded areas

Hello all,

Thanks for the welcome on the other forum. Okay, now for my ultra-newbie question. All the tutorials I have found, both online and in books, only seem to cover the very basics and show a single block of one color, more or less. I’m working on Skating Snowman by Jeanette Crews,

Another newbie here

Hello all,

I found your board over the weekend, and I'm very impressed! You all seem so friendly and helpful. I'm a transplant from England--been living in Massachusetts for over 10 years now. In the past I have done a little cross stitch, but it was very simple stuff. I'm just now getting back ...
