I managed to get more than I thought done tonight so im really pleased! I haven't changed any colours yet because I
pink, I also decided to stick to 14ct white aida
Excuse the quality-there taken on a mobile!!

And a closeup (as I uploaded this I realised i'd missed a bit of backstitch, on the bottom left hand corner
I'll have to sort that out tomorrow!!

Everyone that has posted so far seem to be getting on well- Cant wait to see your pics, K1ns You have made a fab start
Cant wait for more updates!!

Re: Celebration Sampler SAL

the top left block is done, the top middle is done and I added beads. I started the sewing box under that in the middle..and almost done w/ that.
I do the border stitches first then stitch what's inside the box..if that makes sense..lol
this is a lovely fast stitch! tomorrow though, I work on my dragon

Great starts, everyone! I'll post pics of mine a little later today. I didn't get that much done yesterday. I got sidetracked by some patterns online and printing stuff off.

Well done Kins for gtting the first picture up
and well done to all who posted updates -- it is so interesting to see how differently each of you tackles this project, and everyone else who has joined in no doubt does it differently again; what a great SAL this is!

Re: Celebration Sampler SAL
As everyone has already said this is a quick stitch. I really like the way it is coming together. It was hard to stop and go to bed but since I still have to work I had to.
Here is my up-date for last night. Will post again next week.

Rose, I love the colors you've chosen!
Here's my first pic. Like I said earlier, I didn't get very far with it. I hope to get more done today.

Re: Celebration Sampler SAL
I started with top left corner, but could only do about half of the block, the X-s, and fell asleep.
I was too tired. But tonight, I will finish that first block, at least that's the plan, and then post a picture.

great work bb too it looks great

Re: Celebration Sampler SAL
Thank you for your concern, Mabel. I have to get up early, and find it difficult to go to bed in time in the evenings, because that's my stitching and reading time. But usually I am OK with this.Mabel Figworthy wrote:Great to see the different colour choices!

Re: Celebration Sampler SAL
Well I have some bad news. My boyfriends jeep broke down again and we had to spend a ton of money to get it fixed and so unfortunately I am not going to be able to buy any supplies for awhile.
So I am going to have to hold off on doing this piece. But I will enjoy watching all of you stitch this piece! (Thanks again dawn for the magazine..I feel really bad now since I won't be able to stitch this just yet!)
