I have only just caught up with this thread, is there still room for me on the magic bench as well please. You are all getting on so well and it's really interesting to see, different peoples interpretation of the same chart, keep up the good stitching :D

Everyone's really moving with this one. I just finished the center square today and am working on the top left corner now. I am finding it quicker now that I'm not worrying about everything being seen thru the linen. I will take about a half day break from this one this weekend (Sunday probably) to do week 6 for the other sampler.

I find it goes quite slowly for me. Partly because I was so tired all week, didn't have much time to stitch, one evening I even went to bed without stitching, can you imagine that! Also, I am in a quite a bad mood, and it may affect my stitching. Tonight I was doing the top middle part, and that little band with the three colours took me an hour or so, because I didn't want it to look through, so had to invent the order of stitching in a way that I could always anchor the thread. I am so tired, it was like a logic puzzle :)

ive used a variegated thread for the middle "live, laugh, love, stitch" and im quite happy with how its turned out, not i am thinking of using it for the x's in the 4 boxes, and maybe the backstitch text round the middle box, what you think?

heres the update pic:

 I love the look of the varigated thread for the words. It would look wonderful in the X's as well. :applesauce:

Rose and Lisa, both projects look great. Isn't it funny that they are the same and yet the colour changes can make them appear very different. I love both versions!!
