Oh Lisa what a shame about the frogging! Can I ask a belated question about the variegated thread you used for the word -- what type of thread is it, and which colour?

Rose, yours is coming along very well and I'm glad you managed to get round frogging the basket!

Small progress??!! I really need to be working on this. Unfortunately other things have gotten in the way. In fact, DH did more stitching yesterday than I did. I guess that's what I get for working on laundry, dishes, and meals all day. :ratherbe: I'll post a pic either today or tomorrow of where I am since I changed the fabric last week and started over.

Here is my sampler, lots of colour changes and a few little changes to the design too but nothing too drastic.

I am really enjoying this project and am making sure that it is personal to me which is why I have made colour changes and design changes. I think that I will put my name at the top as suggested by the magazine too.

Rosemary, this is fantastic progress! And beautiful!

Rose, yours is also wonderful, lovely colours!

Lisa, sorry for the frog, I hope he will not show up any more.

I didn't do much, as I already mentioned, it goes slowly for me, but I love it. I had to do a bit of frogging, but not too much, luckily. I bought all the threads given in the pattern and I use white fabric, so it started as nothing extra... BUT... I had to make a little change when I remembered that I have the exact matching sparkly thread in a UFO kit - then I realized I have another that can be used... So now I am thinking of adding something sparkly to the other side, too, because it is loopsided    Maybe beads?

OK, sorry to tease you with this :D without the piccies.
*off to take a photo*

be right back with it :D

So here it is. The sparkly (DMC metallic) is used for the small crosses and the backstitch squares in the right side block. Also, the middle of the little squares is empty, I haven't decided yet what to put there.

Agi, I like how you've added in the sparkles! Yours is really coming along! :applesauce: :applesauce:

All of you have more done than I do, but I'm hoping to get a little more time working on it today before I put up a pic. I know, I'm bad.

Rosemary, you've done masses! It's really lovely! Love the colours. :applesauce:  :applesauce:

Agi, I love your sampler as well. The metallicy bling is a wonderful touch! :applesauce: :applesauce:

Isn't it funny, that even though they have their differences, you can really like each for itself.

Well I stitched all day as best I could. Bumpy roads are not good for easy stitching. We stopped and went to dinner and got a room so I am now in the process of frogging my entire right-hand top corner. Once I got the corner finished and held it out I did not like the colors that I had choosen  I thought they looked good together on the bobbins but once stitched they did not compliment each other at all. So back to square one. Tomorrow is my day for the mystery so this will have to wait until Wednesday. :?
