Oh, Kazzi, that's a pity - can't you change the pattern somehow so you don't have to unpick?

I managed to get some stitching and I have a square on the corner and the knot as well on the corner to do, then I am finished and will make it into a cushion for DH.

Do I show my progress or wait until I am done?

I had a similar problem with one of my WIPs. It's a jungle scene with animal faces from a magazine. I worked so hard on it but I made a mistake and didn't notice until I had worked about 80% of the design. I just could not get the mistake right. Everytime I picked it up to rectify it I just made the same mistake. It drove me insane, so I stuffed it in a cupboard for nearly five years. Earlier this year, I managed to get the wrong bit right. There's still some work around it that may cause a problem but it's only foliage and can be adapted. It's still a WIP but maybe next month....

The way this design went wrong is the reason I never start a project in the centre - I just can't deal with working up.

So far, so good. I have one more square and a knot left to stitch.

Am disappointed - I hardly got any stitching time at all last night and we're getting visitors for the weekend so I won't have much stitching time for several days. Argh!!!

I was thinking I don't have any UFOs as I'm so good at seeing projects through at the moment, and then I remembered the airplan sampler I started for my dad's flying club. I'm away until Sunday but I should get a couple of evenings on it at least. :D

After having a bit of a 'discussion' with the OH on the phone last night I had to do some stitching to calm me down. I managed about 40 stitches of gold in the second corner border. No point taking a pic as it's all in one line, but it did the trick and calmed me down. So nice to be back working on evenweave.

I managed to do a bit last night and started working my way down my right hand border. I was really tired though, so I only did about an hour and a half. Should be able to get on with it tonight a bit more. I'm enjoying working with all the lovely purples.

I'm loving dipping into this thread to see how you're all getting along. I might have to join in if I ignore my surprise sampler any longer.

I'm annoyed because I can't find batteries for the camera, but I can't believe how much I've done since Wednesday. I think it's because my other thing is quite complicated (blended threads and lots of confetti stitches) this seems really easy. I've almost finished the top right hand corner and maybe I'll finish it (the corner) tonight. (Sky Sports News permitting!)

OK, so I have finished the bookmark I gave my friend (she was crying as we were saying goodbye - so sad she is going back to the States :( ) - now I am here for the remaining few days to ufo (have I just coined a new verb? )

Here is the stitching:
Image

I must have done it sometime last year, probably when we had no camera at home and after stitching it I got scared of the finishing, left in in a folder and forgot about it. Until I saw Mags do the same recently.
Mine is not the original, I got the chart from someone who has finished her kit, I used Aida and threads from my stash so the colours are different.

I'm really enjoying this UFO week. I'm getting quite a bit done on the horses. I only have the mane to stitch and then the backstitch on that section of the fourth horse and it is complete!! It helps that I am on leave though so can actually get some done during the day as well as in the evening! I have to think of a new UFO for next month now!

I finished the top corner (apart from the backstitching). I've got someways to go on the peacock's tail and then I have the bottom border to stitch, which has a lot of fractionals. I've backstitched the bird's legs and feet. Promise to take a picture soon.
