Wow! That pair would be great framed together with the Rhyme stiched between theme... Perhaps a deep red wood frame with brown & gold for the inner framing... And the poem done in maroon!
Sorry, I got carried away, but really, those two pics together with the poem and two linked rings at the top or bottom of the poem...
Just beautiful!

Wow!! Looking great mags!! The owl is going to be challenging too, but so worth it, I just love the eyes, the depth of colour is just gorgeous.
What a great idea to incorporate the poem!! Genius!!
Aren't you all so clever!!

Well I have now finished my cat picture - sorry but you will have to look in my gallery as I still haven't gotten round to setting up a webshots
I said I would report back on how easy it was to remove the red cotton. It was a bit fiddly but no worse than I had imagined. I must admit to two tiny bits left in where I daren't fiddle any more but I don't think anyone will see them - I could only see them by scanning in and zooming in to a very large size.
If anyone else is doing this gridding, be sure to remove from the back of the work rather than the front.
I have also posted up to my gallery the back of my work as I had scanned it in to check for red cotton and I didn't think it looked too bad so thought you might like to see it.
I am now going to send off for the owl
