I love that nursery rhythm. It was always a favorite, but I could never remember more then the first refain.

Mags your kitty is really shaping up. Wow what a great art piece.

Wow! That pair would be great framed together with the Rhyme stiched between theme... Perhaps a deep red wood frame with brown & gold for the inner framing... And the poem done in maroon!

Sorry, I got carried away, but really, those two pics together with the poem and two linked rings at the top or bottom of the poem...

Just beautiful!

Thanks!

I love designing things... I just don't have much personal talent for framing and such!

I do have an excellent eye for colour though!

Wow!! Looking great mags!! The owl is going to be challenging too, but so worth it, I just love the eyes, the depth of colour is just gorgeous.

What a great idea to incorporate the poem!! Genius!! :applesauce: :applesauce:

Aren't you all so clever!! 8)

Just added a couple of pics of Christmas cards to my gallery. All trees this year and they are all from freebies found on the internet. That is all I am doing this year.

I can now get back to my puss cat :D

Well I have now finished my cat picture - sorry but you will have to look in my gallery as I still haven't gotten round to setting up a webshots

I said I would report back on how easy it was to remove the red cotton. It was a bit fiddly but no worse than I had imagined. I must admit to two tiny bits left in where I daren't fiddle any more but I don't think anyone will see them - I could only see them by scanning in and zooming in to a very large size.

If anyone else is doing this gridding, be sure to remove from the back of the work rather than the front.

I have also posted up to my gallery the back of my work as I had scanned it in to check for red cotton and I didn't think it looked too bad so thought you might like to see it.

I am now going to send off for the owl :D

Love the cat, Mags. It's a beautiful piece of work. He looks very thoughtful - I wonder what he is thinking?

Thanks everyone for your comments both here and in my gallery.

CF - The kit says it is 8" x 10". Actual stitching area is 90 x 110 sts maximum and it is on 14 # aida = approx 6.5" x 8"

This is more difficult than the cat - there are no areas of a block of one colour at all  There are 22 colours.
