Oh help I have lost my stitchy bug   I am way behind with these 2 stockings. I so want to get them both finished for early December but I have done very little for about a week and can't get back into them, I am really busy this week and next so think I will get even further behind.

To make it worse I have started some baby knitting, a pram cover as I enjoy knitting and don't need to concentrate as much as stitching but that doesn't have to be finished until February. If anyone finds my bug please will you send it back asap as I am now panicking big time

The stitching bug is the only bug I like to find. I hope you find your soon. Sometimes when I am just not in the mood to stitch, I wind a few floss bobbins or study the pattern I am working on to see if I can get something to jump out at me screaming to stitch next - that usually works me back in.

Lovely progress so far.

Good luck.

Or if you have not actually specifically promised the stockings for this year, why not give in to the loss-of-bug, enjoy your knitting, and finish them for Christmas 2010?

If the bug isn't with you, then you can't successfully stitch. When it returns you will enjoy stitching these lovely stockings again. I think a stitching deadline can scare our stitchy bugs away, they do seem to be easily scared

Well the last 3 days I have been stitching this non stop and really enjoying it . I will never get the two stockings finished by 1st December   but I am now aiming to get them completed by Christmas day and give them to them perhaps with a cracker, few sweets and little gift in, as suggested by my friend Felicity.

The one for my son Paul, Peaceful Evening I have about 250 stitches left plus the backstitch, name and some beads instead of french knots, but I will leave that until later as I am really into Sleigh Ride at Dusk.

This one is for Emily his girlfriend, I have started her name in pale silver grey like the chart said and I don't really like it, I am not going to frog it though as the navy stitching around it at the back goes the one stitch across the back of the grey (if you get what I mean  ) so I thought I might try to go over her name and do the backstitching to finish the letters of in some sparkly thread to brighten it up :thinks:

I'm also not sure if I really like so much of the background done in half stitches, however careful I have tried to be it still doesn't seem to cover the same to me as full crosses despite using 3 and 4 strands in places but I am still looking forward to seeing them finished and made up :D :D
