Please, tell me honestly. I started working on my ex-UFO the Winter Picture last month, and have been working on it ever since, because I am enjoying it so much. So now it isn't a UFO any more. Can I still work on it this week or should I pick up something else that is waiting to be continued? :thinks: :thinks: :D

I was all set to come on here and say I had changed my mind about the UFO week..but then I saw that you guys really do want to see Chessie so I am gonna pull him out tonight. I am loving Wrath so much that I am a little afraid to put it down in fear that I may not pick it up again for awhile!

Agi I would love to see you continue to work on the winter picture regardless that it is now not so much of a UFO. It was picked up because of this week so if you look at it in the right frame then it is still a UFO and so can be worked on.

So many exciting projects to see this month.

tooth fairy ornament for grandson

I took a break from stitching EMS nbr to finished this tooth fairy ornament for my grandsons. My sons has 4 boys and they are getting new tooth from time to time. I stitched this awhile ago but put it aside because I didn't know how to finished it. I did have a oval frame to insert the stitching but I didn't like the look of the plastic hanger plus it made the stitching looks too bulky so I took the frame out and stitched the fabric on the back of it. I used a cording around it with a loop to hang it up since it will probably be shared among the 4 boys. (hang over the head of their bed or place underneath their pillow.) There is a pocket underneath the angel to put money in.

I am now on nbr '9' of my EMS Advent Calendar. :D

I thought it was time I joined the UFO club. I have always thought of myself, not of having UFOs, but of just not having got around to working on some projects for a while. I started this somewhere between 3-4 years ago, and haven't touched it in at least 3 years. I thought I should be honest, and call this what it is, a UFO.

Here is the before picture, about 2 and 1/2 pages complete out of 24:

Murmured - welcome to the UFO sal - this will get you motivated to finish this very nice colorful piece.

SS - your grandkids will love it - very special. my aunt made me a special tooth fairy stitched pillow when I was little - I loved it - and is one of the items from childhood that I still have.

Agi - please do continue with the winter picture - it is so lovely, we would love to see more.

Kerbear - *chants CHESSIE* - glad you have decided to stick with UFO week - I would love to see more of Chessie - don't worry, you'll be back stitching Wrath with lightning speed soon.

Vani - I love Tink - and how nice you are doing this for a friend.

Lots of great projects to catch up with at the end of the week.

Have decided not to join in this month as I've now completely abandoned the piece I was going to work on this month. It's the Laura Ashley Home Sweet Home sampler I was going to do for my Mam, but Mr Frog visited - AGAIN! - and I'm heartily fed up with it, so I'm doing a new project instead that I've been wanting to do for a while and I'm loving it! :)

socialsue, what a lovely present!

Murmured, that project has such gorgeous colours, I'm sure you'll get into it again!

Kell, good for you -- stitching should be fun! You'll know if and when the time is right again for the HSH sampler.

Was this the one about which Ruskin said that it was like "a pot of paint thrown in the public's face"? All I can say is it's a very effective pot of paint!
