Finished all the edging buttonhole stitching now and the cross stitch flowers in the middle and I'll try to upload a photograph when I can find the card reader

I started the satin stitching for the handanger part this morning and have had Mr :ribbit: sitting on my shoulder the whole time. So far I've had to take the whole lot out twice as I keep counting wrong :x :x :x Hopefully it'll be third time lucky :x: :x: :x:

Good luck with the counting! Sounds like great progress so far apart from Mr :ribbit: -- it must look lovely!

Shame about the frog - it looks absolutely lovely. Maybe you could have used a very subtle rose shade for the buttonholes to see better - but it's too late now. But you can remember it next time :)

Bad Bad :anotherfrog:! Hopefully he's hopped off and you get back to progressing with this lovely work. I can imagine the unease of having to do that cutting soon, but I think it will be just fine!

Beautiful design, and a striking look!

Not sure I'd be brave enough to get in to hardanger though - the thought of purposely making holes in a stitched project goes against my instincts to preserve all that hard work.

Look forward to seeing more progress pics

This is wonderful Susan. I wish I could sit next to you and do one as well. Mine would never come out looking like your one though ... it's gorgeous!

I'm back working on Roses Runner again and really enjoying it :D :D :D :D

I'm half way through the cut work now

and here's a close up of that bit I've completed:

It's not been too bad at all, except I've found that you really do need to concentrate when doing the cutting

This is looking amazing! Especially since you can guage how much you had to cut with what you haven't.. it gives the whole design a great effect
