I can't believe I've only just found this thread! I normally spot anything to do with cats immediately!!

Your babies are stunning and I can't wait to see your progress. I am also really sorry to hear that you have a sick cat – I hope he'll be okay. That second one down looks like a right wee character and full of mischief!!

OK, here's a small update. I feel like this is going so slowly! :x

I'm doing this project during UFO week, so I still have three more days, including tonight, to make more progress. ;)

Coming along beautifully, I love the way the colours blend to give a naturalistic effect!

They'd better blend, it's all confetti!  Seriously, there are about 10 colors in that tan background alone.

I am amazed there is so much detail for a photo sized project. Any photos I've tried to convert end up massive to get detail like that!! :applesauce: :D

Thanks guys!

Lizzy, yep, it's tent...well, mostly. There's so darn much confetti (the only downside to doing the photo-to-pattern software) that it's very very very rare to have more than 2 stitches in a row of the same color. So, when there is a short run of one color, I'm doing tent. Otherwise it's just scattered half stitches.

It's really bugging me that you can see so much of the Aida through the floss. I'm doing the full 6-strands of thread and it still looks so pockmarked. Hubby says I'm insane, though, and that it looks just fine.

It does look OK from a few steps back, so maybe I'll just hang the finished work on the wall way above my head so I'm always looking at it from farther away.
