I just LOVE this whole design. The animals are so playful and unusual, I'm sure it would appeal to a child. Wish I had someone to stitch it for. I'm so tempted to get the kit that I may stitch it anyway and look for a recipient later! Super work!!

Thank you all, you're all so special and kind!
To Wanda: if you love this design, why not try it? It takes a while to finish, so certainly "something" will happen before you're done and you'll be prepared to offer a special, adorable gift to the new baby!
To Slinky: yes, my kids really love this picture, they followed me along through my stitching and learnt most letter while observing my patterns! My biggest son, Vasco, even helped me chose a frame for it: it's a laque red frame, maybe it's a bit thin for the picture's dimensions, but I respected his choice and anyway it's very tasteful. I'll have it framed for Feb. 8th, which is my birthday, too, and I'll post a pic of the finished work.

"To the extent that this world surrenders its richness & diversity, it surrenders its poetry. To the extent that it relinquishes its capacity to surprise, it relinquishes its magic"
Wow, fantastic work!!!
I love this one, yes it's definitely inspired me, but not sure when I'd ever have the time to do it justice!
Congrats on your finish, can't wait to see it framed!

"The world, as a colourful knot of threads, has turned into a memory, and now you cannot be sure whether it was real." (Géza Ottlik, Hungarian writer)
I finally had my stitch framed and I just got home to take a pic (it's blurry and flashy, I know, but I just can't wait to show the final work!)
My son chose the cherry red frame and I think it looks lovely on it. Now we'll have to search for a place in kids' bedroom to hang it!
