And I've done a matching card (the little rings are from a set of card toppers I bought at John Lewis a while ago)
I haven't a clue what to write in the card, I've been trying to write out ideas but I've alternated between platitudes (along the lines of "so happy for you, shame about the circumstances" which just sounds far too flippant to me) and profanities because I'm so frustrated with myself, so I'm leaving that until tomorrow.
WIPs:
Snow Princess and the Polar Bear HAED
Plans:
Twinkle twinkle cushion for nephew's third birthday (September 2015)
Man U crests for husband and brother-in-law
Both are very lovey and I'm sure will be well received. A thought as to what you may put in the card, something along the lines of--My good wishes to a lovely couple on their special day
Work in Progress
Dimensions Passion Flower Angel
Tempting Tangles Welcome SAL
Various small designs
It looks perfect - very classic and the message is well chosen. Perhaps for the card, something simple along the lines of "May you enjoy all your days together."?
Current WIP's:
Fall Lake (GK)
Crackling Silence (Mystic Stitch)
Hidden Spirits (Dimensions)
I agree with rose this is a marriage....platitudes should be seperate give them the best wishes etc that you would give anyone that was just married don't think about the circumstances even thought they are bumping up the date of the marriage due to illness...they got married only because of love..correct?
I put something together in the end stressing how wonderful things are now, giving my condolences for the circumstances, then put all my contact details on the back. I drafted it out about 5 times first!
