Has anyone designed their own cross stitch?

Post by Joanna »

I'm looking into designing my own cross stitch and have found somewhere that will print the charts and create a kit with threads etc.... and I was wondering if anyone else has done it before? I'm thinking off drawing my picture and adjusting it in photoshop.

I think most people on here have designed their own charts at some point or another. Personally I kit them up myself as well as design them.

when you design (draw) a picture and change it into a chart using a program can it deal with backstitching i.e finer out lines .

I'm planning a picture called 'A Few of My Favorite things' and in the foreground I wanted a huge danelion. which I visualize as sitting on top of the background picture. so would you plan the picture without it and then add it later?

I'm need to sort out my scanner then I could show you more easily.

I've designed a few things, but they were always small things.

thank you so much it's going to take me a few days to sort out the picture but it would be great if you would a rough chart for me to get the idea of how it works.

I keep on thinking of more things I want to add so I'd better get on with it.

I might try that to make a needle case as I want to make one but it would be nice to design my own.
