Well, I spent the week working on filling in the squares on another group's SAL from last year. Here's the squares that I've done over the last week except for the butterfly. I did that about a month ago.

This tomato was from a issue of WOXS. I used it in place of one of the given patterns to make it a little more personal.

Busy_B, that looks great all those small but detailed designs! What is the colour used for the "grid" -- it looks like a variegated thread?

I'll look it up for you later. I don't have that sewing box in front of me, and I'm just sneaking a few minutes before I have to clean the kitchen so I can get busy baking 8 layers for 4 cakes. It is a DMC variegated thread though. :ratherbe:

Time to rejoin the club, methinks! Although I'm totally obsessed with my Mermaids, I've decided to drag myself away from it and attempt to finish some of my neglected UFOs. This month I've decided to have a go on All Is Vanity, mainly because it has lots of background and I can stitch this pretty much without thinking when I get home from work. The more detailed part I can stitch at weekend.

This is how it looks today. Let's see if I can tear myself away from Mermaids and get this baby finished!

What an awful picture...

I will have to start this a day or two late. I have to finish the project I am on right now first. :D

I am going to join a day or two late as well, Rose, I want to finish a small present first.

I started this a day early since I finished the wedding project. I'm working on the sampler from another group. Actually managed to do 2 squares of it yesterday. It would be nice to get most, if not all, of it done before the next model stitch comes pretty soon.

I will be working on my dolphins again. I will start by removing the last of the blue that didn't match in and my aim is to get about two-thirds through, although I started a day late because I didn't want to put down what I was stitching!!!

Here is where I was at the end of last time:

Image

Hopefully I will be able to reach the actual dolphins this time, the sea is getting a bit repetitive!!

I stitched a bit today. I stitched a project I call "The Dark Horse". I have no picture of it. Why? Because it is a surprise present. I will show it, when the time is right. I still have a long way to go.
