) the "count" (how fine the fabric is) will often be given in threads per cm instead of per inch. Evenweave can commonly be found in 10, 11, 12 & 14 "draadjes per cm", and they are approximately the same as 25, 28, 30 and 35/36 count. Blockweaves like aida will often be described as "5,5 kruisjes per cm" which would be 14 count, the most common aida, and the finer ones as 6 or 7 "kruisjes".

Oh, sometimes you wil see them called "10-draads" or something like that. That simply means the same as "10 draadjes per cm".
