I stitched this rainbow-coloured bookmark for an online friend who sent me a book, simply because she thought it was the kind of thing I'd enjoy. She's admired my stitched bookmarks in the past, so I thought I'd make her one as a thank you for her generosity.
It's stitched entirely in Madeira silks in the colours of the rainbow with the borders in pale pink. I liked the idea of using all the colours for a fringe instead of a single tassle for a change too. It should be arriving with her this morning, so I hope she likes it!
(The design is based on the "code" design that is a competition in the Stitcher's Village newsletter this month - I chose seven of the rows to stitch.)

My pal had her second baby boy the other day. Because I didn't know her till after her first son was born (and so never stitched anything for his birth), I thought a little ornament to commemorate BOTH her beautiful boys might be nice. So, this little ornament has a "C" for Charlie (the new baby) on one side and an "H" for Hayden (the big brother, who is a month or so older than Xan) on the other. This is the item Xan was helping me stitch in the video I posted on Facebook.
The silver heart at the bottom says "Made with love" on it.
ETA: It's just one ornament - front and back designs.

My son plays with her eldest boy quite regularly (every couple of weeks or so) and he's a gorgeous little kid - such a sunny personality - they get on so well. Xan is very excited about Hayden getting a baby brother and wanted to help me make the ornament for his friends.
