I know what you mean about the similar colors in this kit. I find the only way I can sanely get through it is to watch a good movie while doing the monotonous blue/green tones. I think it's a little more slow going that way because I get distracted by the movie but when I try to work on it in a quiet house I feel myself slowly going insane and wondering why I chose this as a hobby!
Your progress is fantastic so far!

Sorry for the poor picture quality... using my mp3 player's camera. /swt

Haven't gotten far with this one, since I got frustrated after I had to frog a good portion of it once I realised that I got the counting off. :x

I'm sure all of you have seen it often, but it should look like this when finished:

Started this one just last night, and already had to frog a bit of and redo it quite a few times already. :( I'm still going on it, though, because I really like the design....

I know the picture doesn't show much, but there isn't much to see yet... mainly working on getting the (very) dk brown hair portion done; speaking of which, it's done using 6strands half-cross stitch!

The finished design should look like this:

I've always liked the Season For Everything design; it's so peaceful looking and you're doing such a good job on it! Free Flight is going to be a pretty one! :applesauce:

I love the birds design on the stamped cross-stitch! Never done stamped myself - at least, not cs. Have done tapestry and jolly difficult I found it, too, so don't be ashamed!

The other designs are lovely too! Look forward to following your thread. :D

The Seasons one? It's commonly found in all Michaels in my experience as a kit for 19.99 - could get it for half that price, if you use a 50% one item coupon whenever they have that promotion going.

Been a while... I have done a bit of stitching over the past week or so - just never really get around to doing proper 'on time' updates.

---

Been working on Chickadees some more, here's a better shot of its overall progress:

Image

Yeah, I know..., haven't gotten very far on it. Though I'm almost done with the one shade of green on the enhooped porition.

Image

& The part that I haven't been working on at all, since I've been focusing on the part I am (better than first post pic of same thing, I think)

Image

--

This is of what I've been working on most lately - the autumn part to "Seasonal Welcome", something I started a long time ago and while I finished summer of it, never did much with the other three seasons.

I totally agree! The "Footprints" one in my siggy is stamped and I despised doing it bc it was so hard to do it evenly.

It's a beautiful piece though and you're doing great!
