N's Stitch Projects (Update: 06/08, p9)

Re: N's Stitch Projects
I know what you mean about the similar colors in this kit. I find the only way I can sanely get through it is to watch a good movie while doing the monotonous blue/green tones. I think it's a little more slow going that way because I get distracted by the movie but when I try to work on it in a quiet house I feel myself slowly going insane and wondering why I chose this as a hobby!
Your progress is fantastic so far!

Sorry for the poor picture quality... using my mp3 player's camera. /swt
~

Haven't gotten far with this one, since I got frustrated after I had to frog a good portion of it once I realised that I got the counting off.
I'm sure all of you have seen it often, but it should look like this when finished:

~

Started this one just last night, and already had to frog a bit of and redo it quite a few times already.
I'm still going on it, though, because I really like the design....
I know the picture doesn't show much, but there isn't much to see yet... mainly working on getting the (very) dk brown hair portion done; speaking of which, it's done using 6strands half-cross stitch!
The finished design should look like this:

I've always liked the Season For Everything design; it's so peaceful looking and you're doing such a good job on it! Free Flight is going to be a pretty one!

I love the birds design on the stamped cross-stitch! Never done stamped myself - at least, not cs. Have done tapestry and jolly difficult I found it, too, so don't be ashamed!
The other designs are lovely too! Look forward to following your thread.

The Seasons one? It's commonly found in all Michaels in my experience as a kit for 19.99 - could get it for half that price, if you use a 50% one item coupon whenever they have that promotion going.Like_Fine_VVine wrote:I love the seasons design and your progress looks great! I would love to stitch this pattern. Any clue where I could get it?

Lovely projects!!!!

Re: N's Stitch Projects (Update: 09/01/2011, pg. 2)
Been a while... I have done a bit of stitching over the past week or so - just never really get around to doing proper 'on time' updates.
---
Been working on Chickadees some more, here's a better shot of its overall progress:

Yeah, I know..., haven't gotten very far on it. Though I'm almost done with the one shade of green on the enhooped porition.

& The part that I haven't been working on at all, since I've been focusing on the part I am (better than first post pic of same thing, I think)

--
This is of what I've been working on most lately - the autumn part to "Seasonal Welcome", something I started a long time ago and while I finished summer of it, never did much with the other three seasons.

^ finished product

I totally agree! The "Footprints" one in my siggy is stamped and I despised doing it bc it was so hard to do it evenly.Mabel Figworthy wrote:Your stitching is lovely and even, so difficult to do in stamped cross stitch!
It's a beautiful piece though and you're doing great!

The chickadees are looking very sweet!
I like the Welcome piece you're working on; looks like it would be fun to stitch!
