Unfortunately no new stitches to share. Saturday was really crazy and I ended up in the ER for a few hours. Everything turned out better than I could expect, but I'll have to follow up with some specialists in the next few weeks.
I'm hoping to get some more of the first page done during the superbowl tonight since I am NOT a football fan!
Everything for now is ok. I was actually diagnosed with having a TIA or mini stroke, which is very unusual for someone my age (26!). Thankfully it only lasted a few minutes and there was no serious damage done. They've put me on daily aspirin and I have to see a neurologist this week.
I've never been more grateful for the use of both arms. I've been hugging my kids as tightly as I can all day today.
Sorry to hear what you went through, Lauren. Hopefully further test will determine why it happened. You're so young; I hope you never experience that again.
I was finally able to get back to stitching yesterday and made quite a bit of progress. Page 1 of 3-1/2 is very close to being completed now!
Thank you for all of the well wishes. I'm coming to terms now with some of the (hopefully) temporary side effects of having a TIA including being overly tired and having a hard time concentrating on anything. Luckily, cross stitching still comes easily!
