Re: Lauren's First SAL! *Updated Mar 30*
Look what got done today!

I took this along with me to a string of doctor's appointments today and finally finished the last of it this evening while watching TV.
The letters look a bit wonky in this picture, but I'm going to see how they look after washing and ironing it. If they still look crazy I may redo them, but overall I'm very happy to have finished this project.
It's been a long road. I started this before all my medical problems started and to have it completed feels like I've overcome a huge hurdle. There was a time when I was afraid that I may not be able to cross stitch anymore, but I'm happy to say that every test has come back absolutely normal and, after a surgery to close a hole in my heart, my life should go back to the way it was before!
I'll be sure to post pics once this is cleaned, pressed, and in a frame. My husband has sent out an email to the person responsible for the Day [9] podcasts and we're going to see if we can send this out to him directly.
Thanks for sticking with me through my very first stich-a-long!

Re: Lauren's First SAL! *Stitching Complete!*
Hey everyone! Lots of cool news, but first PICTURES:

All cleaned and framed up.

(please ignore my horribly cluttered mantle!)
I spent the last few hours cleaning, ironing, and framing this piece up. I'm so proud, because it's the first project I've actually fully completed. There are multiple finished pieces lying around waiting to be washed and pressed, but I've just never gotten to them.
AND we got some good news today from Day [9]'s people: they are super excited about the stitching and are actually setting up a PO Box specifically so I can send this to him! Maybe, just maybe, he'll be impressed enough to put it up on the webcast. My husband said that he usually has at least 10,000 people who watch it live!! If that happens, I'll be sure to post up a link to the show!
