Here's what it should look like when finished:

I'm not sure what I'll do with her when she's finished. I really liked the colour scheme and design, even though I don't normally gravitate toward art like this as a cross stitch project.
I love big projects with lots of detail, and I knew I'd like HAED patterns. However, the true scope of it didn't smack me between the eyes until I was working on getting the first page done. What's nice about HAEDs is that you can calculate stitches done easily, and now I know my speed (which isn't terribly fast since I stitch in-hand). So.... yeah. This has 30+ pages! I have new respect for people who do these, and while I know I'll finish, it will be ages before I do!
Anyway, here is my progress so far, stitching off and on (about 1-2 hours a day, depending on mood, work, etc) for two weeks (stitched on 28 count evenweave, 1 over 1):

Not sure why the whitish stitching is showing blotchiness... it looks a bit better in person. And ohh.... I dearly love my two black kitties, but for this project they're not allowed in my lap. It will probably take a little longer to finish just because of that (it's always nice to have a furry purring bundle when I get comfy to stitch.
