marnicat, those are fantastic designs. And I thought I was splurging when I bought 2 during the sale (at least only 2 so far) I have the mini Village Book Store in my wish list too. Thinking of waiting on a few others to go "mini" now that I have proof that they can be finished. Hope you get the mixup with your coupon worked out. I am sure that Michelle will do all she can to fix it. Can't wait to see you get started. Do you know which one you would do first?

Got the gift certificate thing worked out today, hooray! My MIL got me one to HAED for Christmas for $50... I don't think she realized that for me, that will keep me busy for YEARS!
So I got everything I wanted all at once.
I was just doing my downloading, my husband saw the white cat one and just cracked up, he thinks it's so silly. (I know it is, too, I just think it's fun!)
And Carole, as for which one I would do first, it would likely be O Kitten Tree that I also received for Christmas! I have my fabric all ready to go and have decided on 1 over 1 on 25ct. DMC evenweave.
Oh, I hope you do that one. I have it in my stash also and it is waiting impatiently, but will have to go after Tabbies gets started. He has several other similar charts with cats for Christmas that if I live long enough hope to get to also. I will love watching your work on this one until I eventually get to mine. Glad you got the coupon worked out. What a wonderful gift. I'm sure your MIL didn't have a clue that $50 worth of their charts, espcially during a sale is a present good for a lot of years.

I was going back and forth on which Christmas kitty one to do, this was the first one I saw and I think I like it the best, but they are all really cute!
I've been working a little more lately on the freebie Bunny On Path and I'm really enjoying it, will post an update when I get to the end of row 2, the bunny ears are showing! Now I don't want to put it down. Some sections have tons of confetti, so it was good to get a taste of what I am in for with HAED charts.
I was just studying the Mini Gypsy Firefly chart, and the confetti on that one doesn't look bad at all, so that's exciting! Maybe that will be my backup once I get going on the Kitten Tree.
I sent my MIL my wish list to HAED and 123 stitch, she is ill and homebound, so I think it was just easier for her to do a gift certificate. OK with me! And the neat thing about that type of gift is that I will always remember she bought them for me while I am stitching away for years!
Just bought their new pattern - summer angle! I think to stitch it to my colleague as she always help me neither in office nor after working hour.
I show her the angle and she like it very much...
But she hope to have an angle boy make the angle girl to be a perfect match....
And I also bought the storykeep design... I thought is a bookmark, and I not aware the size when buy... After get the chart just realize it big size too!
LOL.

Enabler!!
I've never done tent stitch, so I'm not sure. I just love all of the bright colors in that design. It would look so great on the wall of a kids room. Yup. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

It is one of the lovliest, brightest cheeriest designs I have seen anywhere. I came close to adding it to my wish list too just because of that. I like looking at it.

I just checked with my friend and asked her if it would go with her daughter's room decor... they live in Texas, so I've only seen photos. Right now the room is green and pink, but they've been slowly converting it into more rainbow colors, so this would be perfect. PLUS, they have a sunflower field, so it's doubly perfect.

Please can someone stop me from going onto the HAED site
I really can't afford these right now but they have made it onto my wishlist.
The music lesson
Cello storm
The only trouble with the cello sotrm one is that she's playing it the wron way round! I'd have to do the pattern back to front (unless anyone knows of any way that I could get a mirror image of the pattern).
I MUST RESIST!!

I'm doing my SAL on 18ct and finding that much easier than 25 ct to deal with but that would just make it huge!!!!!! and not sure where to start looking for fabric thats 24 by 60inches!!!!

Currently having the fabric debate!!!

I'm in the same boat as regards fabric. I'm leaning towards 22 count using 2 strands full crosses, but then there's 28 count 1 over 1 which would make the finished article a bit smaller. I'm just going to have to have a play and see what gives best coverage and what I'm happy stitching. I don't think I'll do 25 count 2 over 1 full crosses again. I'm doing that for rhyme & reason and where it's ok to stitch (i.e. just on the right side of the border of being too small on one side and manageable on the other), the back is getting rather bulky where there's a lot of confetti, and there's a fair bit of confetti on the sistine chapel. I may even try tenting too, although in my heart of hearts I'm a full crosses girl, but you never know! We've got until mid March to decide anyway.
Thank you Mabel, I never noticed the please contact us for larger sizes!!!! Though if I go for 20 ct it cuts the size down a little and then I can go for the pre cut stuff.

For the Sistine Chapel April 1st start, I bought 28ct Jobelan from Sewandso. They sell a 19"x55" cut, which would allow for a 3" border, since the piece itself would work out 12 1/2" x 35 5/8" on 28ct. When I received the fabric, it actually measured 20"x55" so I was quite happy. With the exchange rate, it cost me just slightly less than a half would cost here, and most US suppliers I use don't do the 19"x55" cut. I'll be doing mine 1x1. By the way, I live in Texas but get orders from Sewandso within 10 days using their basic international mail. Theresa

I love the music lesson one. Not sure I've seen it before. How silly for the cello to be being payed back to front.
Someone on this forum did a clever mirror image of a fractals design and when they explained how they had done it it was really easy. Unfortunately I can't remeber who it was. Sorry!
I can't wait for ya'll to get started. I just came back from the local LNS (more on that in a different thread) with the fabric for my Tabbies. 22 ct Hardanger that I think I will tent stitch 3 over 1. and also got the fabric for Spangler's O Kitten Tree (which marniecat is going to do also.) I was going to wait, but then couldn't decide between that and several others, especially Balancing Act, but that is much bigger and she didn't have a large enough piece. I got 25 ct Lugana which I will try 1 over 1, maybe 2 over 1 if I don't like the coverage. And there are still 4 days until this sale is over. When do you think the next one will be?
