I have a big pack of plain white side-snap T-shirts for baby and I thought it would be fun to cross-stitch her first initial onto at least one of them.
I have the waste fabric and am all set to go, except for one question --
What do I do about the back? Will it be too scratchy/irritating against her skin? Any advice/suggestions/been-there-done-that?

Re: Question on stitching onto baby clothes
I have stitched on to t-shirts and sweatshirts but never any thing for a baby or infant. Not sure if they will be more sensitive then an adolecent or adult but I have never put anything over them and some of them I have even used metallics and they do not cause any issue.

Re: Question on stitching onto baby clothes
My Mum used to embroider my baby clothes with no issues but if you are worried you could always sew a cotton patch over the back.

Cool, thanks, guys.
I think I'll just do the stitching without doing anything about the back and if there's a problem once she's born, I'll worry about it then.
