What a beautiful tribute to Kayla. I have a few beloved pets at the Rainbow Bridge myself and it is never easy to let them go. I love the butterfly, too!

I've been able to find some time to stitch over the past few days so here's two updates!
This first one was my progress as of July 4th:
And this second one is my progress as of today, July 6th. I really love the way the shadow makes the butterfly float above the fabric!

I was just getting ready to log off to go to dinner - and read through this thread. I had a few tears streaming down my face reading your first post. A beautiful description of such a sad day.
A wonderful way to remember your sweet girl. You are making quick progress on this design.

I think most of us have lost pets & the sadness lingers, but there are also beautiful memories, hold onto them, Kayla would want you to remeber them. Your butterfly is beautiful & I'm looking forward to seeing the finished result. Kindest regards, Pippa.

Great progress. I love the 3D effect the shadow gives the butterfly. It does look like its floating.
