Thanks ladies. It is Marilyn indeed! :D

Back is feeling better... just in time for me to get sick. Been extra fatigued today and now my throat is sore and my lymph nodes swollen. I really hope it's strep and I've not somehow managed to contract mono a second time! My sister has mono right now and I know we've shared some food and drinks several times in the last month. :?

Even though my back is better, I'm gonna finish working on Marilyn and then make some more Christmas ornaments before getting back to the blackwork.

:applesauce: It sure is Marilyn. She is looking really great. I hope that you are feeling better. I had Mono once, a long time ago, and I am going to keep my :x: that you have a bug of some kind and not Mono. Remember to get enough rest, whatever it is that is making you feel ill.

Thanks!

Well, no clue what it is at this point, but on top of whatever it is, I went and had a tooth pulled today. Which is going to add to my misery. :?

  You poor thing. That is almost worse than what I had done, unless they anesthetized you. I think we need to meet in St. Cross Stitcher's Ward for a little bit of TLC.

Still feeling under the weather. Thanks for the compliments and well-wishes. Haven't done any stitching since the last update. I'm finding it hard to concentrate while on the vicodin. That and it's been hard to eat anything - even soft cheese is hard to chew. so it's pretty much been a diet of apple sauce, sorbet and ice cream. which while all are tasty, they're just not satisfying.

Thanks. I've been drinking plenty of fluids. Today I managed to eat some noodles.

I've figured out most of the gifts I need to make for Christmas. My Dad is going to be getting the Pirate Santa instead of the beach scene I had intended to give him. But that will be one of my new starts for next year so I can get it to him for his birthday/Christmas. After I finish Marilyn, I've got 2 more Stitch a Stars to do - Robert Downey Jr and Jack Sparrow for my two BFFs. Then a bunch of other small projects. :x: that I can get them all done in time.

Very cool work on Marilyn! And nice that you're getting yourself organized. I'm trying to do that as well, but I hope you do better than I usually do. And I hope you're not getting mono either, I had that when I was a kid. take care and hope your missing tooth isn't too bothersome either.

Thanks, Tiff! I am getting better. Still on soft foods, but I think I should be back to non-soft solids soon. I've also downgraded on my pain killers because it's not hurting as much. I'm a bit sniffly, but it definitely seems like it's not anything as bad as mono!

Anyway! I just finished Marilyn a little bit ago. Here she is:

Now to decide which is my next start - RDJ or Jack Sparrow?

:applesauce: Marilyn is so cool. Great finish. I think it is fantastic how perfect it is.

My vote is for Jack Sparrow (but then I love Johnny Depp)
