Thank you for the kind comments
I got the 4th bookmark kit done - it actually had cutting! I had so much fun and was so eager to get to it that it turned out a little messy with little thread nubbins sticking out. I tried tucking them in, but quickly lost patience lol. I had a devil of a time with the picot stitches on the woven bars. I finally found instructions that clicked for me and was. Able to get a couple of decent picots done.
I'm a tad bit inordinately proud of them.
I got 2 more kits in the mail the other day. Yet another bookmark and a little picture frame thingy that can also have a magnet stuck to it. Both from Nordic Needle:

http://www.nordicneedle.com/prod/K2192.html" target="_blank" target="_blank. I'm not too fond of the frame one. It seems too monochrome with all the blue, but its worked with dinky dyes thread so I couldn't pass it up. There's one more kit I want to do after these two are finished:

I got a start on the fringe looking bookmark but had a big setback and had to frog a whole bunch of boxes and klosters. Omg, I was so disgusted with myself. So I set it aside for a while. Have to stay focused on Max, anyway.
New floss and fabric arrives tomorrow. I'll be joining Mabel's SAL later in the week! I'm pretty excited about that
