That is so so beautiful and aren't the beads a perfect match for that lovely fabric.

Well done indeed Mabel.

Managed to do a bit on the Wedding Umbrellas - happy with the split stitch for the lettering, and how the umbrella came out. Now to decide on the lacy stitches for Andreea's parasol!

Mabel, that is lovely.

This is going to be a very special wedding gift, not only stitched by you but designed by you too.

The colours are blending beautifully in the blue umbrella.

For the second time within a month, my little sympathy cross was called upon for the widow of another one of DH's oldest friends.

I am sorry to hear that you needed to make another sympathy card, but I am sure that such a lovely and personal expression of sympathy will be most appreciated.

I am sorry that your lovely sympathy card has been called for again. It seems to be the time of year for it. Our Pastor for us "oldies group" (called Living Legends) has 2 funerals to officiate at this week.

This is where I'd got to on the Wedding Project before the flu overtook me.
As the next big step is to unpick and restitch the final EA on Andreea (which are too low and/or small), which will take some concentration, this is definitely on hold now until the new year (except perhaps for the lettering, which should be quite relaxing - just split stitch after split stitch, all along the lines :-) )

But oh that is so gorgeous Mabel. I love it and the wording is just right. Take your time and get completely well first and then pick it up and fix it. :)

As I posted in the General section, I have quite a few things on the go at the moment :-) - these are some of the ones I have hooped up, and hope to put a few stitches into in the near future!

All exciting projects, Mabel. Love the variety of colours both of fabric and threads. Am I seeing correctly, tho: have you simply folded the pink fabric over to back the stitching? It's so obvious that I never thought of it before!

You give me credit for a higher level of organisation than I have :-) !
No, the fabric is too big for the project, but cutting it to size after stitching means I save more of it for another project, as I don't have to include the hoop allowance. Sometimes it just makes the difference between a usable and an unusable leftover.
