Wow Lisa, this is going to be fabulous! You've already made a great start on it as well :applesauce: :applesauce: .
Plenty going on in there to keep your interest. What count fabric is it and how big will the finished piece be?

Very challenging project. Perhaps you should listen to others who have done cut thru designs and do the backstitching as you go - otherwise there will be too much of it at the end.

Good luck with this one Lisa - it looks quite complicated but I bet it will be stunning when it is complete - and I'm sure Shaun will absolutely love it. Are you keeping it hidden until it is finished?

thats the plan, one page of back ground then the page of back stitch, as much as I love back stitch, I don't think I could face 9 pages of it

not keeping it from him as he's only 1, so I doubt he'll reliase what it is

heres another update

and here is a mysterious yellow blob, I have no idea what it is. Paul reckons it could be a bell but I dont know why pirates would have a bell. The outlines goes round it, nothing in the middle of it. This is the cloest I could get without it blurring.

If you click on the pic you get it bigger.

Maybe it's a compass? Sort of thing you would have on a ship. Oh, no it isn't, just had a look at the big pic, and it's on the hatch that shuts over the steps down, so maybe it's just the handle of the hatch?

And you are getting on with it very well! :applesauce:

Ah, you're obviously a much faster stitcher than me. With my track record I'd probably have it finished for his 5th birthday :D :D :D
