Wow Lisa, this is going to be fabulous! You've already made a great start on it as well .
Plenty going on in there to keep your interest. What count fabric is it and how big will the finished piece be?
I really like it.
There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with CHOCOLATE! Forget love! I'd rather fall in CHOCOLATE!

Very challenging project. Perhaps you should listen to others who have done cut thru designs and do the backstitching as you go - otherwise there will be too much of it at the end.

I wish I saw this before starting a pirate HAED for my sons bedroom! I love it and it looks so much fun to stitch! The colours are so vibrant! Looking forward to watching this one!
Good luck with this one Lisa - it looks quite complicated but I bet it will be stunning when it is complete - and I'm sure Shaun will absolutely love it. Are you keeping it hidden until it is finished?

and here is a mysterious yellow blob, I have no idea what it is. Paul reckons it could be a bell but I dont know why pirates would have a bell. The outlines goes round it, nothing in the middle of it. This is the cloest I could get without it blurring.
Maybe it's a compass? Sort of thing you would have on a ship. Oh, no it isn't, just had a look at the big pic, and it's on the hatch that shuts over the steps down, so maybe it's just the handle of the hatch?
