Re: Snowman Finished!!!!!!
This is so cute. Filling this idea away for future use! Great idea and useful. Those $1 bags don't last long and you can't wash them :0 Congratulations on a great finish.

Re: Newfie Princess Stitches
Hi All, taking a break from packing to show a few progress pictures.
I've completed Prairie Schooler Woodland Samplings. Stitched on 28 count lambswool linen with recommended thread. Nice little stitch but I wish I had taken more progress pictures because you would have seen one rabbit appear ...

Loving everyone's choices! This is so much fun. I'm using a variegated dmc 4170 as one of my floral colours. My choices are mostly pinks with some blue and yellow. So I have 4 pinks!

I did a search to see what buttermilk was and it may be very nice. The instructions say that we may be using white with the pearl cottons 8 and 12, if you go with the traditional way. White will show very well on the buttermilk fabric.

Question - This is my first project using so many beads and new stitches. Do you bead as you go or wait till the end? and if you bead as you go what sort of hoop do you use so the beads don't crush?

I've decided to stitck with what I had in my stash (even though the "I want something new" was screaming lol) The only piece of linen I had big enough is 32 count lambswool. The threads are all DMC along with a glaring gold metalic by Finca 6000. I'm hoping the gold will be more muted once its ...

Re: Newfie Princess Stitches
Congrats on the new place and selling your own house! Very cute stitching.. what do you mean the bags are banned? You can't use them? Or you don't get them in stores?
Plastic bags are not given by stores. We have to carry our own shopping bags (try that at Christmas time!) Only our liquor stores ...

Re: Newfie Princess Stitches - Crazy January Challenge
I have a finish! I restitched my Prairie Schooler Cat on 32 count lambswool linen with recommended DMC floss. I really didn't like him on the aida fiddler. I really like the linen. Tried to finish and post for April Fool's (poisson d'avril). Have a great day everyone!

Hi All, I've just signed in and read this whole thread, signed up for the newsletter and had a read of their site. I'm in! Went through my stash and I have to shop! :applesauce: I've decided on my colours, fabric and beads. I have about half of what I need. I've never used pearl cottons before so ...
