Re: Amanda's Heart of the World HAED

OHhh and I totally forgot to ask...is having the grid there helpful??? Each small square I mean?? And as for taking it out I think it depends on what you use to grid it. I used this Sulky Metallic thread and it is on ply so I can't split and too boot it is super slick so I shouldn't have a problem g...

Re: Amanda's Heart of the World HAED

woooo hooooo!!! Congrats on your start! It looks great!! And a totally random thought....I just noticed over at HAED that you can get the background removed from any their charts for an extra 3 bucks...I was actually planning on getting this one and thought I'd offer to get them to remove the backgr...

Re: QuirkyK's WIP on a HAED Merlin and Arthur...

PennWenn... Yes it is 25 count...and I can see the holes while looking at it but to work on it for any length of time the Magnifying glass I have comes in VERY VERY HANDY!! I love the idea of the quarters! I'll have to hunt for a 2008 one :) But as a back up the program I use to download my picture ...

Re: QuirkyK's WIP on a HAED Merlin and Arthur...

Ok Everyone...here are the quick pics I took this evening of my begining start :) I took one of the whole frame and left my size 8 1/2 foot in the picture to give you an idea of scale...and then I have what little I accomplished with the quarter for scale :) Forgive the quality! used the cheap point...

Re: Threadbear ventures bravely into evenweaves ...

Well it is looking great ... and girl just about the only time I get a chance to take a picture is in the evening (of ANYTHING!) so much so that I literally got a lens for my camera that would handle the low light :)

Re: im in love

oh yeah they are all gorgeous...I have started one and now have 3 other charts that I own...heaven only knows when I'll get them done! And you can stitch it on any size fabric but again be warned that the finished piece would be HUGE!!!! My Merlin piece on 25 count is already 24 inches long and 14 i...

Re: QuirkyK's WIP on a HAED Merlin and Arthur...

Amanda I did a few test blocks to figure out what stitches I was going to do and went with 1 over 1 full x...I tried the 2 over 1 tent but one didn't really like the tent and the 2 threads going through those little holes became more difficult that I felt like dealing with each stitch after I got to...

Re: QuirkyK's WIP on a HAED Merlin and Arthur...

I'm starting Heart of the World http://www.heavenandearthdesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=160_64&products_id=1429 for now... I'm going a little overboard with the gridding (2 over, 2 under 10x10 squares) and yes, it took me hours to get the first couple pages gridded... He...

Re: QuirkyK's WIP on a HAED Merlin and Arthur...

Hey amanda! And I second that, what are you working on??? As for the Gridding...I'm not so sure the little squares would be worth it (as I'm parking so I know where I'm at as well as I mark off the stitches as I do them!)...I was so anxious to get started I did the full page and skipped the little i...

Re: Uggghhhh! I’ve been bad!

You know I really wish you hadn't brought up the sale on HAED stuff. I have 8 charts on my Wish List because I can't decide which one I want to try first. Now that's there's a sale on I could get all of them and then decide. Hmmm....... Oh you have no idea how much I wanted to clear out my wishlist...
