Re: Mrs Milkybar Kid

Ha ha Rose - that is so weird! There are lots of great flosstubers out there (Sticky Stitch and The Lovely Array to name two more), I've only been doing it since June. We have a nice little active stitching community on YouTube and Instagram and it's been fun to "meet" more stitchers. Cali...

Re: Chatelaine Hortus Viridarium 12 September

Thanks Rose! Karen - I'm addicted to Mo's silks, I think there will be a package every month finding it's way to me.....oops!

Re: Catching Up.......

Here's my update on Hortus V - it does get a bit tedious stitching the same thing four times, so instead of picking something else up, I'm doing a bit of stash reorganisation as I've just taken delivery of some more of Mo's silks! This one should be finished and beaded by the end of the month :). ht...

Re: My first Chatelaine design.

Of course you make sense, it is a very common question too - so you are not alone! With Chatelaines the beads are stitched on straight - either with the hole horizontal or vertical to the fabric, which way is personal preference (I think I stitch mine vertically). The beads are not angled (as you wo...

Not surprisingly I love this chart Carole! Looking forward to watching your progress - although I am (semi!) determined not to start any more HAEDs next year, this might tip me over the edge!

Re: My first Chatelaine design.

Hi Angie, as you know I've stitched this one and finished several other Chatelaines, so if you have any queries just shout! I always stitch from my IPad - it is sooooooo much easier especially for Chatelaines!

Re: Newbie question about mirabilia SAL

Mirabilias are all designed by Nora Corbett - but Wichelt owns the company. She also designs under her own name - an example would be the Bewitching Pixies series. If the SAL you are referring to is the one I am hosting on my channel, the majority of us are stitching Mirabilias, but we won't turn yo...

Re: Using linen from fabric store?

It may not be an evenly woven linen, ie not the same number of stitches wide as high. Doesn't stop you from stitching on it of course, your stitches might just end up more rectangular than square :).

Re: Help - how do I separate Gloriana luminescence

No problems :). It is a very fine thread, as it's variegated it would be very difficult to use 2 strands, but should be lovely for some speciality stitches :D .

Re: Help - how do I separate Gloriana luminescence

The answer is - you don't separate it, you use it as it comes off the skein :D . Undo the knot to pull it off the card and untwist the skein and cut a length suitable for your stitching - most importantly enjoy, as it is gorgeous!

Re: Question!

Glisten Gloss Rainbow thread is made by Madeira Carole - Rainbow Gallery make Petite Treasure Braid and all sorts of funky fibres! It seems silly to me that PTB is used by tons of stitchers but 123stitch don't stock it!

Re: Question!

I always find it bizarre that 123stitch don't stock any Rainbow Gallery threads! They say it's because RG will only sell to brick and mortar stores which is ludicrous as all the shops I buy them from in the UK are online with no shop front :).
