I started this one years ago and the backstitch did me in :tantrum: so it's in my WIPs and will probably never see light of day again. I'm sure it is worth it and maybe the idea of enlarging the chart might help, if it ever does creep to the top of my pile maybe I'll try that..... Good luck with it,...

The detail does make her look real I agree and the way the tongue is hanging out, my old dog used to do that - it's as if the design was made from a photo of her.

Haven't been on here for a while due to studying etc but managed to fit in some stitching and my German Shepherd is finished! Just need to frame her now :)

I also use q snaps and have two sizes so depending on what project I do I can interchange them. I only use a hoop when I'm near the edge of the fabric and there isn't quite enough to go "into" the q snap. I cut up a thin tea-towel and use that between my snaps and my stitching - wouldn't g...

Gosh, it never used to be like that - there were always so many cross stitch related stalls I had a hard time choosing what to buy! Nice purchases though.

Welcome and so glad you have "re-discovered" this hobby. I have got a sewing machine but I tend to just "hem" the edges by hand - I just turn the edges of the material and do a small running stitch and don't end up with any fraying problems. Looking forward to seeing your progres...
